But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Treasures

Have you ever wondered if that bag on the roadside was filled with money? Have you ever been to dig sites and found gems? Our desires for money and excitement are all acceptable if kept in check. God has more to offer. Have you ever found the real treasure when life was at its worst? I was in this state of hope, driving down the rain drenched country road. The fog smothered the ground and was dancing about in the rainy breeze. A favored old oak tree stood tall on the hill as if it were proud to have withstood another Texas storm. It’s freshly washed green leaves glistened in the morning sun. Behind the old oak, a flock of bright white doves flew up against the gray sky. Not only did I have a live painted picture from God, in my despair with life’s troubles, He taught me lessons. Did you understand them? Read the lesson book assignments again.
