You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. – Psalm 16:11
In the late 1700s, the first hot air balloons were created by Pilatre De Rozier and the Montgolfier brothers. An air of excitement must have filled the sleepy country side as hot air was pumped into the brightly colored balloon. As the wondrous new invention rose high into the sky, many awestruck townspeople must have been captivated by dreams of their own. Who would be the lucky one to go up first? Who would be brave enough to volunteer? A chicken, a duck and a sheep were the first to ride – or should we say experiment! Two months later, two people manned a successful hot air balloon flight over Paris.
What is it about a hot air balloon that brings a smile to a heart? The festive colors? A romantic adventure? Could it be the thought of freedom flying away from the worlds troubles? No matter the pleasure, its all worthwhile. Nevertheless, its just a temporary joy.
When you become a child of God, a new door of adventure opens. His word is living and active; studying and applying it is fascinating and His promised blessing of prosperity unfolds before you. Its a beautiful flight like none other in life. Hes waiting for you to come aboard.
