Mirrors

ReflectionsSo in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.  -Matthew 7:12

Since ancient times, humans have been fascinated by their reflections in water, mirrors or any polished metal.  Today, when you walk by a mirror, chances are you will look and you won’t be satisfied with what you see.  If we spent time looking at ourselves from the inside out, we’d have a nation of peace. There are very few of us who would not welcome a kind word, a gentle answer, a deed from the heart, a hug of appreciation. Simple acts, simple answer. Be the person; be the peacemaker.

Dear friends, let us love one another. -1 John 4:7a

Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. – James 1: 23, 24
