Mother’s Day

How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me. -Matthew 23:37

Our God is not only a “Father-figure,” but just as easily wears a motherly role: a mother’s love, a mother’s emotion, a mother’s fierce protection of her young.  With a mother’s intuition, God knows our needs, knows our hopes and knows our hearts. And yet we still rebel in our own childish ways, even though we know who knows best. We can thank Him best with our obedience, as a child obeys its mother and warms her heart.  Give Him the gift of your love for all He has sacrificed for us.
