Assessing Your Soul

Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.  It gave me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it.  I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.  – 3 John 1:2-4

Many pay any price to eat right, exercise our bodies, engage our minds and stretch our personal goals, but we need to invest as much in our spiritual health as physical life.  God has promised to see to all our needs, if we seek Him first.  We prosper as our souls prosper.

We test our fitness, we track our finances.  Do we appraise our spiritual progress? How do we assess the success of our souls? We have a perfect picture of the “ideal” standard to which we strive in Jesus Christ. We have guidelines to follow and examples of behaviors that demonstrate the caliber of our hearts.

Test yourself. How do you think you measure up?
