First Love
June 2, 2011 by Worship Director.
…you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love. - Revelation 2:3-4
Remember your first love? Your heart beat faster in anticipation of your Love’s appearance. The hours flew by as you shared every detail of the day. The briefest separation brought a pain that could only be relieved by your loved one’s return. Such love motivates us to do our best, the most, and as much as we can to demonstrate our affection. Yet if the spark fades away, we may continue to “go through the motions,” but the fire is gone.
We can wear a mask, but we can’t hide our true feelings…especially not from an omnipotent God. It is, after all, our love that He desires more than our deeds; our lives more than sacrifices. Are you still living your first love?

Where is Holy Ground?
June 1, 2011 by Worship Director.
Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows. - Luke 12:7
Whether we know it or not, God has a plan mapped out for each of us – a plan to prosper, and not harm us. He knows us better than we know ourselves, and yet still we veer from the path, rebel and reject His guidance even though the road beneath our feet inevitably becomes more rocky and rough.
But when we embrace the journey designed for us, we no longer intersect with God only at the major mile markers, instead we walk the earth knowing that every step we take with our Map Maker becomes holy ground.
