Leadership That Grows a Church

practice_graphic.jpgAfter all, who is Apollos? Who is Paul? We are only God’s servants through whom you believed the Good News. Each of us did the work the Lord gave us.  I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.  -1 Corinthians 3:5-8

Can someone be a leader if no one is following? It’s something to think about.  Leaders in the Church are important.  Faithful followers are just as important.  Everyone depending on God is what really counts.  It takes many different talents and skills to build a strong church and it’s our God that brings them all together – in the right place, at just the right time.  If we’re called to lead, we have to step up.  If we’re called to follow, we are asked to take direction and be cheerful, dependable support.

It is not important what role we play, but it is critical that we allow God to work through us so that His plants can grow.
