Let’s Go to Work!

These were His instructions to them: The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into His fields. -Luke 10:2

As it was in the beginning of the Church, so it is still true today – so much to do, not enough workers to meet the need.  Our community is like a field ready for harvest.  God has planted His seeds in hearts all around us.  We are called to do our part in helping them find a place to experience God’s love, to know Him better, and to belong in a family of believers.

Each of us has been gifted with abilities, both great and small, that God can use to grow His Kingdom.  Preparing our fellowship to receive them, putting workers in place to serve them, is part of our worship – our “reasonable service,” our “living sacrifice” (Romans 12:1) unto the Lord. The fields are ready.  Let’s go to work!
