Who Do You Think You Are?

He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.  For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. – Ephesians 2:17-18

Who do you think you are? The answer sometimes depends upon who is asking. Many think we are our job, what we do for others, like a doctor, a police officer, or even a mom. What they need from us both drains and defines us.  You may identify yourself as your culture, your family, your heritage, to those that take a deeper look. Often, we may feel like we’re no more than a social security number, a customer code, an ID or log-in, lost in the crowd, invisible, nothing special. We may even believe it, incapable of seeing who we really are at all.

But there is One who knows us completely and intimately. To God, we are His family, His heir, His own body and bride. We are a child of The King, valued and loved.  The best of who we are is exactly who God wants us to be. Is that who you think you are? Believe it!
