Be Ever Ready

But while they were gone to buy oil, the Bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with Him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked. – Matthew 25:10 (NLT)

Being connected, in the loop, is not enough. “Knowing” will profit us nothing if we are not prepared to act when the moment arrives. The guests got locked out because they had no reserves. They spent all they had before the party started. Connections can be lost and calls can be dropped.  Even if we monitor every media outlet, we still won’t always get advance warning. The only way not to miss out on the best things in life is to be ever ready.
