All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. – Acts 2:42
If Jesus walked into any particular Christian church today, would He recognize it as His creation? Would He see His heart bleeding with love, His hands in acts of compassion, or His feet running toward the lost and needy?
Our place is not to judge any but ourselves, so let’s be introspective. Are we devoted to His Word alone and to following its teachings? Are we committed to each other, supporting the fellowship and nurturing its spirit? Do we cheerfully share what we have out of love and not obligation? Do we commune with Jesus every day and in every way? When Jesus says, “So, this is the Church” may we joyfully say “Yes!”
