They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers…praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. -Acts 2:42 & 47
What we now call the “New Testament” Church sprang into being following the resurrection of Jesus; full of energy and excitement, purpose and promise. In a fractured world, the Church was focused on unity guided by love. While not an easy path, they forged a new reality that forever changed the course of history.
Today, in a no less divided world, the 21st Century Church has the same commission to keep. When the love of Christ is able to shine through the noise and nonsense of confusion and conjecture, everyone will want to walk in the warmth of His light. With one voice we invite the hurting, the searching, the empty as well as the overflowing, to be a part of our Christ-centered Community. With the Word of God as our guide, we welcome all to fellowship with us and live in His grace.
