For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die. – Philippians 1:20 (NLT)
The opposite of being bold, is being fearful. Fear is a powerful motivator of both good and bad behavior. While it may prompt us to quickly move out of harm’s way, it can also move us to side-step risk that could bring big rewards. Living fearfully instead of fearlessly is the difference between experiencing “full” life or “less” of life. Live boldly, love fearlessly, speak hope and build community around the message of Christ and the time we have on earth will overflow with blessings.
