Bless Your Home

Then all the people left, each for their own home, and David returned home to bless his family. -1 Chronicles 16:43

Christians are a giving people as a reflection of our gracious God. Showing His love through acts of charity and gifts of support are tenets of our faith. We are good at rallying around a cause, joining together to provide for the less fortunate, the devastated or downtrodden. It’s great to be a part of something big that we celebrate corporately, but like King David, we can’t neglect to bless our own family at home. We care for our house and our children, we feed our needs and offer hospitality to our neighborhood. The ripples on a pond start at the center and we are less effective at flowing to others if we don’t make a mark at the center of our home.
