Possessed

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. – 1 Peter 2:9

We are God’s “special possession” not as in ownership, but meaning “to occupy.” He doesn’t want to dominate or control us, but to inhabit the very air His children breathe, in relationship as close and dear as life itself. The Church, so often referred to as Christ’s beautiful bride, is the embodiment of His love for us, bright in His eyes and full of promise. He chose us, will you chose Him?
