Seasoned for Change

Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. -2 Timothy 4:2

In our mortal world, the never-ending turn of the seasons should be a daily reminder to us that change is unavoidable, necessary, sometimes painful, and absolutely inevitable. How we greet change, meet its challenges, welcome its joys and sorrows, makes all the difference in how our life progresses positively or negatively, creating contentment or depression. At times, we may be the teacher, the bringer or agent of change, but we’re always a learner, in need of instruction, introspection, and reflection. God does not change, but we must be open to and ever seeking new understanding of His revelation in our lives. As time transforms the seasons, He desires us to become “seasoned” for change.
