Women of Action

Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: “Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.” -Esther 4:15-16

We can have faith in the silence of our hearts. We can exhibit courage of conviction without taking a step, but taking action requires leaving the safety of our homes and churches and risking something for the cause of Christ. The risk may be great or small, exposing us to ridicule, rejection or perhaps even death. Action requires movement, not just thought, not only faith, but actually engaging with the world to make something happen. Let’s do it – let us become the “movers and shakers” of our age and act!
