Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it. – Matthew 7:13-14
Few find the road to eternal life, not because it is hidden or overly difficult, but because most people are just not looking for it. The wide path is big enough to follow the crowd, to pave with smooth walkways, and to build amusement parks full of distractions. Taking the road “less traveled” – the narrow one – does make all the difference in both the joy of the journey and the final eternal destination.
Thank you, Lord, for showing me the way. Help me to be less distracted by people and things that try to pull me off course.
