Polished

Present yourselves as building stones for the construction of a sanctuary vibrant with life, in which you’ll serve as holy priests offering Christ-approved lives up to God. – 1 Peter 2:5 (MSG)

The apostle Peter wrote these words; the Peter who was a bully, loud mouth, hot head, big talker, reactionary, liar, even denying he ever knew Jesus. But this same Peter is the Rock upon which the Christian Church was built. Offer yourself, your resources, your life to Christ and the Master Builder will polish your rough exterior into a strong foundation, shinning, and ready for service.

God, I know I am rough around the edges, sometimes even hard at my core. Please soften me, mold me and make me more like You. I know polishing can be harsh and even painful, but I submit to You so that I may someday shine.
