With the lifting of shelter in place orders and changing conditions, we are eager to meet again in the Community Bible Fellowship facility at 9809 Giles Road in Austin. As we move forward, with your health and safety of paramount concern, leadership has carefully developed a phased plan to ensure that we prepare and act responsibly as we worship and serve the Lord.
We plan to reopen the CBF facility for worship on Sunday, May 17th. For the first few weeks, only 10:30am worship services will be held in the Sanctuary. Other areas of the facility will be cordoned off and signage will direct you to those spaces in use. The handicapped entrance in the back of the building and the front doors will be open.
We appreciate your cooperation in observing these precautions while in the facility:
- Out of respect for others, all participants will wear at least cloth masks (please bring your own if possible), we will attempt to provide additional masks as needed
- Keep 6 ft physical distance from others, avoiding close contact until further notice (we will hug you in spirit!)
- When seated in the Sanctuary, please sit with family units, staggered throughout the room, avoiding sitting with anyone directly in the row in front of you
We also understand that some people have existing health conditions which place them in very high-risk groups for contracting this virus, who may not yet be comfortable leaving home, even with safety precautions in place. Be assured that we plan to continue to minister to everyone throughout these unprecedented times whether in God’s House or virtually. Worship will be recorded (audio and/or video), devotions online, and of course, corporate and individual prayer opportunities.
In a few weeks, and with careful evaluation of changing conditions, we hope to begin offering Sunday morning Christian Education classes again and later, more of our regular activities. We will provide more information along the way on how we will do so safely.
Thank you for connecting with CBF. We are praying for you and we know that God will see us all through to His glory.
