Hard Lessons

See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. – I Thessalonians 5:15-18

Have you given thanks in all your circumstances or in spite of them?

Think about it…we are likely thankful for what we have (even having a little is a positive), but are we thankful for what we have not? “Thank you Lord – for the job I lost, for the reduction in pay I must take, for the fear and pain I’m feeling right now.”

This is the life lesson: not every situation may have a “silver lining,” we may never see a hidden blessing, but we can learn to be grateful.
