Color Blind

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. – Isaiah 42:16

Being color-blind leaves a person poorer. It’s not a condition wherein one doesn’t see any color. It’s one in which certain colors cannot be distinguished from others. It leaves a person unable to appreciate the radiance of a flower in the foliage of a bush or seeing only two or three colors of the full spectrum in a rainbow.

There are also people who only see the world colored by his or her own self-centered needs, who through a blindness of the soul are unable to see the needs in the world. How wonderful it would be if that person could see the whole world as it really is – filled with needs crying out be met by their resources. Pray that God will fully heal our souls so that we can realistically perceive all that God is calling us to see.
