The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. – Psalm 23:1-3 (KJV)
Sheep are not smart, they eat everything in their path leaving nothing behind, and they have no sense of direction – but they are still valuable for what they have to offer. Just like us. We so often make the wrong choices, act selfishly, and wander aimlessly until we find ourselves lost. Even so, the Shepherd knows our potential. He knows what’s best, when we don’t – and what we can become when we put ourselves into His care.
