Appreciation for Pastors

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ… Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. – 2 Timothy 4:1-2

Being a pastor is a 24×7 business – ready in season and out of season – all kinds of shepherding, all the time. Preacher, teacher, social worker, administrator, comforter, friend – It’s not just a job, it’s a calling. Though many are called, few answer the summons or stay the course.

Today, not only does the pastor’s job include preaching, teaching and directing the business affairs of the church in a world turned upside down by a global pandemic, a pastor must also struggle with the same physical, spiritual and emotional load that each of us carries – and is called upon to bear ours as well.

We especially appreciate our pastor and his family, who are partners in ministry, and thank God for placing them in our fellowship as we journey together for Christ. With gratitude, we honor our pastors today.
