Psalm 139 (The Amplified Bible)
November 21, 2010 by Web Admin.
1) O Lord, You have searched me thoroughly and have known me.
2) You know my down-sitting and my uprising: You understand my thought afar off. (Matt. 9:4, John 2:24,25).
3) You sift and search out my path and my lying down, and You are acquainted with all my ways.
4) For there is not a word in my tongue still unuttered, but behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. (Heb. 4:13)
5) You have beset me and shut me in - behind and before, and You have laid Your hand upon me.
6) Your infinite knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high above me. I cannot reach it.
7) Where could I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your presence?
‘8) If I ascend up into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol-the place of the dead, behold, You are there. (Rom. 11:33).
9) If I take the wings of the morning or dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10) even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.
11) If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me and the night shall be the only light about me,
12) even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. (Dan. 2:22)
13) For You did form my inward parts: You did knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14) I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well.
15) My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret and intricately and curiously wrought as if embroidered with various colors in the depths of the earth- a region of darkness and mystery.
16) Your eyes saw my undormed substance, and in Your book all the days of my life were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them.
17) How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! (Psalm 40:5)
18) If I could count them, they would be more in number than the sand. When I awoke, could I count to the end- I would still be with You.
19) If You would only slay the wicked, O God, and the men of blood depart from me (Isa. 11:4)
20) who speak against You wickedly. Your enemies who take Your name in vain! (Jude 15)
21) Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You? And am I not grieved and do I not loathe those who rise up against You?
22) I hate them with perfect hatred; they have become my enemies.
23) Search me thoroughly, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!
24) And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
How wonderful to know that God knows us best. He created us and cares for you and me. He wants us to do well in our everyday life’s journey. When we are faithful and obedient to His word- He promises to make a way for us. Trust Him- You’ll be glad you did!

The 23rd Psalm (Amplified Bible)
November 7, 2010 by Web Admin.
1) The Lord is my Shepherd to feed, guide, and shield me, I shall not lack.
2) He makes me lie down in fresh, tender green pastures: He leads me beside the still and restful waters (Rev.7:17).
3) He refreshes and restores my life(my self): He leads me in the paths of righteousness - uprightness and right standing with Him - not for my earning it, but for His name’s sake.
4) Yes, though I walk through the deep, sunless, valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod to protect and Your staff to guide, they comfort me.
5) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil: my brimming cup runs over.
6) Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord and His presence shall be my dwelling place.
How comforting to know that God is always watching over us. He cares and loves us much.

The Mind and Will of God
October 14, 2010 by Web Admin.
Psalm 1 (The Message)
How well God must like you- you don’t hang out at Sin Saloon, you don’t slink along Dead-End Road, you don’t go to Smart-Mouth College.
Instead you thrill to God’s Word, you chew on Scripture day and night. You’re a tree planted in Eden, bearing fresh fruit every month, Never dropping a leaf, always in blossom.
You’re not at all like the wicked, who are mere windblown dust- without defense in court, unfit company for innocent people. God charts the road you take. The road they take is Skid Row.
In essence- happy are those who choose their friends wisely and avoid the enticements of ungodly people. The deliberate choice of the way of the Lord is the necessary precondition of all true worship. Choose God and His way- He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

God’s Perfect Spirit
October 7, 2010 by Web Admin.
Several years ago the Davila’s youngest son, Steve, wrote a chorus and the lyrics blessed then and still do. The lyrics are “Lord, how perfect is Your spirit, constantly tunes my heart to Your own and lets me know that You are right here with me and will see me through until you take me home.
What a great assurance that God will lead us through His Holy Spirit. Psalm 51:11 says “Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me”. When our spirit is synchronized to the Spirit of God, our life is made whole and thus our heart becomes a place where He wants to be. Someone once said- God can live anywhere in the universe, but He chooses to live in our heart.
Let us daily ask God to lead us and work His perfect will within us. May His Holy Spirit glow within our hearts and may others see Him in our daily life.

Don’t Worry About Tomorrow
October 5, 2010 by Web Admin.
Matthew 6:32-34 (NLT)“Your heavenly Father already knows your needs, and He will give you all you need from day to day if you live for Him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
We serve a great and mighty God. If we stop to think, our mind can hardly fathom the awesome truth that God takes notice of our needs, whatever they may be. He cares for us and loves us.
In our everyday life, we are faced with new opportunities and great challenges and it is wonderful to know that He, the creator of all good things the one that holds the entire universe under His control takes time to check in on us daily.
Why do we worry about tomorrow? Why are we concern for petty little things that only come to rob our joy and peace of mind? This scripture is one that is worth memorizing by heart and when we feel that the worries of daily life are burdening us down, we can quote it and feel the great assurance that God Almighty is there and in a quiet voice says to us-“I am here, don’t worry. I will see you through, don’t worry, I love you and promise to be with you, don’t worry.”He will take care of us. “I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you” ( Jeremiah 29:11).
What does it mean to make the Kingdom of God our primary concern? It means that when we surrender our life to Him, He is in control and takes on the responsibility to meet all our needs according to His will for our life. It means that we can acknowledge His Lordship and believe and understand in our heart that He is a righteous and loving God. It means that we can trust Him completely, even when we don’t understand.
Today, many have fallen into a mode that is life wrecking. We give Him last place in our life and expect Him to be at our beckon call when we are in trouble and find ourselves in difficult situations. God loves us and wants to see us through those hard and difficult times but we must let Him have His way in our lives.
He knows our needs, He will give us what we need when we live for Him, and He says, “Don’t worry about tomorrow, I AM HERE.”

Thank You, My Friend in Christ
August 28, 2010 by Web Admin.
1Thessalonians 1:2-8
We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that He has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. You became imitators of us and of the Lord, in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. The Lord’s message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia- your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us.
The apostle Paul is very appreciative of his partners in ministry.Paul knows he needs others to share the mission of spreading the Good News as well as to bolster him when he is discouraged. Paul’s gratitude prompts us to reflect on our own friendships rooted in a shared faith and a common mission. Who are the people who have shared your journey and made a difference in your life with Jesus Christ? Thank God for them today.

Relationship With God
August 9, 2010 by Web Admin.
John 6:28-29
” They replied, What does God want us to do?” Jesus told them, “This is what God wants you to do: Believe in the one He has sent.”
Many of us live by a list of Do’s and Don’ts in an effort to earn God’s acceptance. We can all receive God’s help and forgiveness if we repent and receive Him by faith. Now, that’s Good News! Our growth begins as we respond to God’s love for us.

Psalm 15
August 5, 2010 by Web Admin.
“Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill? He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong, and casts no slur on his fellow man, who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the Lord, who keeps his oath even when it hurts, who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.”

Praise The Lord!
July 14, 2010 by Web Admin.
Psalm 146
Praise the Lord, O my soul, I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.
Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them- the Lord, who remains faithful forever. He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the alien and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but He frustrates the ways of the wicked.
The Lord reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the Lord.
