It Takes a Team

teams.jpgI’ve recruited these brothers as an advance team to get you and your promised offering all ready before I get there. I want you to have all the time you need to make this offering in your own way. – 2 Corinthians 9:5

The Apostle Paul knew the value of working in teams. Like us, Paul wasn’t able to be on Jesus’ first team, but he was ready to step into the quarterback shoes when called up. He benefited from teams that trained him as his journey began – like Priscilla and Aquila.  From then on, Paul knew he could increase his effectiveness through the work of teams that would support each other through difficult times and use their varied gifts to help and encourage others. The church, as a team, is an important key to ministry; each playing their part in order to reach the goal set before us.
