Go Into All the World

And then He told them, “Go into all the world…”  (NASB) – Mark 16:15

The world is a big place. Being told to “Go into all the world” was a scary proposition – overwhelming really.  This small group of followers, who had watched their leader die, return from the grave and then again disappear from sight, were not particularly sure, brave, or ready to take on that charge.  But the Master was confident in them.  He had chosen them, taught them, prepared them and now sent them with His blessing into a frightening new reality. Places they had never been.  People they had never met.  Sometimes, into circumstances that they had good reason to fear; but He never sent them alone.  The world is a bit smaller when it is met one step and one person at a time and with the Messiah beside us.
