Jesus answered: “Don’t you know Me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. -John 14:9 (NIV)
Is Jesus really God? That is the issue, isn’t it? There is no dispute that Jesus of Nazareth was in fact a real person, documented in multiple historical sources. He is recognized by other major religions of the world as a great leader, teacher, or prophet and yet somehow dismissing His own assertions that He was God in human form. One who would make such claims, if not true, must surely be liar or lunatic – how still a great man? Why does doubt, suspicion, coincidence seem easier to accept than the evidence before our eyes? Few people’s movement, words or works have been more documented. Not just a few witnesses, but hundreds were a part of His story and impacted by His presence. Was Jesus God? Is He still? We each must decide for ourselves what proof can propel us beyond a reasonable doubt.
