Thy will be done…Give us each day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. -Luke 11:3-4
In “The Lord’s Prayer,” God invites us to come to Him for both physical and emotional needs – the necessities to live and the things that make life worth living. We are also taught that prayer is not an all-access-pass where we simply insert the prayer card and a fulfilled request is downloaded into our lives on demand. Prayer requires that we additionally take responsibility for our actions, our relationships with others and our submission to the Truth that we don’t always know what is best for ourselves.
What is simple to understand and important about prayer is that no matter when or where we are, we can immediately connect to God.
