Psalm 108:1-5
O God, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
Awake, lute and harp!
I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples,
And I will sing praises to You among the nations.
For Your mercy is great above the heavens,
And Your truth reaches to the clouds.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
And Your glory above all the earth.
We can summarize David’s Psalm chapter 108 verses 1-5 by concluding that he is making a strong effort to lead us into God’s holy presence and to teach us the importance of praising God with a true, sincere, and faithful heart. God will be pleased with this action on our part. We are also reminded that surrendering our life to God is a must- then and only then, is God pleased with our heart of worship. Let us worship Him- morning, noon, and night. His blessings will overflow in our hearts and in our lives when we do. Glory to God in the highest!
Prayer:
Sovereign Lord and Savior, your Word clearly tells us that we were created to worship you in spirit and in truth. May we start each day and end our day- praising you for all you do daily in our lives. Lead and guide us as we seek to do your will. Amen.
