What Are You Working For?

Master, Simon replied, we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.  And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear!  A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish. – Luke 5:5-7

Working hard doesn’t always bring the prosperity we hope for.  This scripture reminds us that it is not how hard we work, but what we work for that can make all the difference.  When we see each day as an opportunity to labor for our Lord, to be obedient to His call, to share our blessings with others, abundance follows.

When we strive to gain more as a means to give more, our nets will always be full.
