You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you – there is more of God and His rule. You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you. – Matthew 5:3-4 (MSG)
The Season of Lent is meant to be a time of self deprivation, denying ourselves of “things” that would stand in the way of our complete submission to Christ. Perhaps you think you are already there because of the current economic conditions. This may be the best opportunity you have ever had to truly humble your spirit and understand what it means to utterly depend on God for your needs and give sacrificially for the sake of His kingdom.
I will give glory to You today through sacrifice. I will give (or give up) ______________ (fill in the blank with your gift). Whatever I have is Yours.
