There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” – John 3: 1-2 (NKJV)
Nicodemus came to Jesus under the cover of night, afraid to be seen with Him – but earnestly seeking the light of truth. He would no longer be ashamed of Jesus a few days later, when he prepared the crucified body of Christ to lay in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathaea (John 19:39). Nicodemus, the highly educated Pharisee, experienced the illogical application of Divine Grace – and was forever changed. May we come out of the dark and let the Light of Jesus change us by His grace.
Thank you for Your remarkable gift of grace. You bring me light when I deserve darkness. You give me courage when I am weak. You forgive me when I am unable to forgive myself.
